Why We Love This One:

This is where marathoners come to PR. What makes this one so fast? Reliably cool temps, a fast course with very few turns, and a field that is not there to fuck around. Also, the start line logistics are worry-free with affordable hotels in Monumental Circle within a quarter mile of the action.

Pro Tips:

Splurge for one of the nicer hotels within a stone’s throw of the start line. If you stay at the JW Marriott or Hilton, you will be able to stay warm in your lobby until it’s time to race.

The flat course is ideal for even or negative splits. There is one minor hill (especially for Ann Arbor runners) around mile 17, and a much appreciated downhill at the 21 mile mark.
