In Their Own Words…

Origin Story:

According to Treetown lore, it all started one fateful Sunday in November 2021. We convinced our friends at AARC to open their doors early for a “super group” run to cap off an epic training cycle. Our run attracted 20+ runners from all corners of the local community, and we knew we had something special.

What Makes Your Club Unique?

Bandit Racing Team is the wildcard group of Ann Arbor runners. Some weeks we meet at AARC, but most Sundays we gather for a destination run somewhere off the beaten path.

We put on unsanctioned time trials, point-to-point training runs, track meets, and even the occassional USATF Certified race.

There are no dues, blood oathes, or hierarchies. We only have one rule: no assholes.

We embrace the role of running club mistress, and welcome runners from “rival” clubs curious about what it would be like to spend 16 miles with us.

Sometimes the pace gets a little spicy.

When / Where Do You Meet?

We flash the Bandit Races bat signal in our newsletter to let runners know where and when to meet. Long runs are supported with turn signs, water stops, and the promise of artisanal coffee when it’s over.
