1. What's your favorite place to run in the Ann Arbor area?

I haven’t gotten to explore a ton of trails yet, so my go to is the B2B. However, County Farm Park is really nice for some loops. I like the mulch paths and the community garden’s flowers.

2. Post long run cravings?

Pedialyte (the berry frost advanced care plus flavor) and anything with protein- I always have a protein bar ready to go post run, usually something with chocolate. Once I’m home I often go for a huge brunch of eggs, toast, veggie sausage, and some fruit.

3. Craziest thing that's happened to you while running?

I decided to study abroad in Australian rain forest for the month before the 2019 XC season began. This meant running alone at 5 am on a dirt path in the jungle trying not to get attacked by anything poisonous. Nothing crazy actually happened, but I was scared for my life every run.

4. Favorite workout?

I love fartleks. I don’t care what the intervals are, I just like the freedom of running for a set amount of time without overthinking the pace or distance.

5. Show you are currently binge watching?

Scrubs. Short and sweet episodes with valuable life lessons :)

6. Who is your running hero? (can be past or present)

I don’t really have a running hero because I don’t follow famous runners that closely. However, my dad got me into running and I have memories of watching his races as a kid.

7. Do you have any race day superstitions?

Nah. You can’t always control your race day situation so I stopped trying.

8. Famous person you would most want to go on a run with?

Hmm. Maybe Jennifer Lawrence because I love her movies and she seems like she’d be fun to talk to.

9. You just ran the Columbus Marathon. Can you give us a mini race report?

I had so much fun! I felt great in the first half so I kept myself reeled in at my goal pace of 6:45. Then around 16 miles in I saw my friends & family cheering and couldn’t help but speed up. Each mile got faster until the finish and I felt so good I was smiling the whole time :) I finished in 2:53:54.

10. One thing that most Bandits don’t know about you?

I’m a vegetarian! I stopped eating meat in 7th grade and haven’t gone back since.
