1. What's your favorite place to run in the Ann Arbor area?

I have a route that takes me through the Barton Nature Area Trail and Bird Hills that I love! The narrow and windier the path, the more fun it is for me

2. Post long run cravings?

Good company and a flat white followed by a session of rock climbing!

3. Craziest thing that's happened to you while running?

Upon request, I have a gnarly picture of me clipping the 8th hurdle at the Big Ten Championships at Oho State; my body is parallel to the track and my face reads 'EMMER EFFER!!"

4. What time of day do you usually run?

Typically right after work during the week, and early on the weekends. If I get a call from someone, I am quite easily convinced to go whenever, wherever.

5. Show you are currently binge watching?

That would be the good ol "What We Do in the Shadows", one of Taika Waititi's masterpieces. I just finished "The Bear" too..that is a MUST watch.

6. Who is your running hero? (can be past or present)

Alysson Felix. What an icon to the sport of track and field!

7. Person you run the most miles with?

It's gotta be Austin Lin. Ironic since we are both sprinters that are not really sprinters anymore? Long runs on the weekend, and 1-2 track workouts together each week.

8. Famous person you would most want to go on a run with?

Honestly, it would have to be either Jack Black, or Taika Waititi. I would request that Taika bring his girls and film the occasion as IG stories with his ridiculous commentary and complaint sessions.

9. Current goals / race you are training for?

I've actually got a lofty goal of setting the world record for the mens 4x800m relay for men over the age of 35! I've got a team set and we are training separately and will attempt it by Christmas 2023

10. PR that you are most proud of?

That has to be my 400m hurdle PR of 52.29 at the 2010 Big Ten championships in Indiana. I was on the cusp of qualifying for the East Regional Championship and dropped my time by 0.22. I placed 8th at the championship, and despite my disappointment with my place, and the fact I was on the verge of vomiting from exhaustion, I knew I had qualified for the regional meet and couldn't stop smiling.
